Writing in Japanese in popular Microsoft products (Office, Outlook) has become fairly easy\u2014just install Microsoft’s Global Input Method Editor (IME)<\/a>. For detailed instructions, see this useful Coscom article<\/a> as well as my own short article of tips for typing in Japanese<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Electronic Dictionaries<\/h2>\n

Years ago—before the smartphone era—I wrote a couple of articles about choosing an electronic dictionary (\u96fb\u5b50\u8f9e\u66f8 [\u3067\u3093\u3057\u3058\u3057\u3087] or \u96fb\u5b50\u8f9e\u5178 [\u3067\u3093\u3057\u3058\u3066\u3093]).
